Mažulonys Hillfort

Located 0.2 km southwest of Mažulonys village, 5 km southwest of Naujoji Daugėliškis, to the east of Lake Vėlis, on the southeastern side of the Zablatiškė-Mikalavas road, in a forest. It is a strongly fortified hillfort with a medium-sized plateau. A 5-meter cultural layer was found at the site, revealing remnants of wooden structures, shards of handmade and wheel-thrown pottery with incised decorations, and various artifacts from the 11th-13th centuries. To the northwest and southwest of the hillfort lies the old settlement, covering an area of 3.5 hectares.
