Sculptural Composition "Dovilai Star"

A new monument erected in the Dovilai region honors the local luminaries and their remarkable achievements. Three distinguished individuals are commemorated: Ferdinand Radke, the long-time leader of the Dovilai Evangelical Lutheran community; Eriks Mačkus, the first pilot from the Klaipėda region with roots in Dovilai; and Vytautas Majoras, a renowned folk artist, political prisoner, and honorary citizen of Gargždai. To honor their memory, three oak trees were planted beside the monument. The creation of the monument and the commemorative oaks was realized by the famous blacksmith Petras Normantas.
