On the left bank slope of the Daugava River, about 300 m east of Tamboviči, stands a German Army concrete firing point from World War I. This fortification, with two preserved hatches, once served for defense and observation. After the reconstruction of the Bauska–Aizkraukle (P87) road, the slope was cleared, making the site clearly visible from the road. Access is challenging due to the narrow road and steep, sometimes slippery slope. The spot offers stunning views over the Daugava Valley.
