On the left bank of the Daugava River, in a forested area between the “Saulītes” wildlife park and the ruins of Alstikė Manor, lie the remains of World War II trenches, bunkers, and possibly reinforced concrete fortifications. Separated from the river by the Ķekava–Jaunjelgava (P85) road, the site is now moss-covered and partially buried. Managed by Latvia’s State Forests, it features rest areas and the “Daugavmala” campsite, offering visitors a chance to explore military heritage in a natural setting. The exact history of the site remains unknown.
