The White Rose Bridge in Alytus is the highest pedestrian and bicycle bridge in Lithuania (38.1 m). Built in 2015 on the foundations of the old railway bridge, it connects cycling paths on both banks of the Nemunas River. The bridge is known for its “love meters” – every 40 meters marks a type of love according to Aristotle. Nearby are the Rose Heart for love locks, Vladas Kančiauskas’ sculpture “Apple Blossom,” relaxation zones, and a bungee jumping site. From here, you can enjoy an impressive panorama of the Alytus hillfort.
