Alytus Old Town Square is a historical and cozy space located between Church Street and Alyvų Trail. After World War II, a square was formed here, and in 2012 it was renovated: a colorful fountain was installed with lines from J. Kunčinas’ poetry, and sakura trees were planted. In 2020, the square was further adorned with a bronze squirrel sculpture and a monument to the Dainava District partisans, symbolizing the memory and values of freedom fighters.
