Tori Church, built in 1854, has become a witness to Estonia’s turbulent history. In 1944, as German troops retreated, the church was burned down, and restoration only began in the 1990s. In 2001, it was consecrated as a memorial church for Estonian soldiers, honoring the victims of World War II. Today, the church is used not only for religious services but also for concerts, state ceremonies, and police oath ceremonies. It is an important site for religious and cultural tourism in the Pärnu region.
