Located between Rīgas and Parādes Streets in the center of Daugavpils, Dubrovina Park is one of the city’s most important green spaces and a popular place for both locals and tourists to relax.
The park is named after former city mayor Pavel Dubrovin (1839–1890), who actively contributed to its development between 1876 and 1890. In his memory, a 2-meter-tall bronze sculpture (created by sculptor Aleksandr Taratinov) was installed in 2007 near the impressive fountain square.
During the Soviet era, a memorial to Soviet Army soldiers was also placed in the park and remains today as a historical landmark.
Today, the park invites visitors to relax amidst nature—on hot summer days, the fountain’s sprays offer refreshment, while in the evening, a play of light and water creates a unique and enchanting atmosphere.
