Located in Dubrovina Park, this bronze monument honors Pavel Dubrovin (1839–1890), mayor of Dinaburg (now Daugavpils) from 1876 to 1890. Unveiled in 2007 and created by sculptor Aleksandr Tartynov, it stands near the fountain in a green space originally developed by Dubrovin himself.
The statue, depicting him with a dog, symbolizes his closeness to the people. It is the first monument erected in Daugavpils after Latvia’s independence restoration, supported by the Moscow municipality. The site is a cultural landmark that draws those interested in history, public art, and urban heritage.
