The Marcinkonys St. Apostles Simon and Jude Church is a wooden example of sacred architecture, built in 1880 in the village of Marcinkonys, Varėna district. In the early 20th century, the church was enclosed by a stone fence with 14 stations of the Way of the Cross. Inside the church and its courtyard, there are 10 art monuments. In 2018, the church, bell tower, and chapel in the fence were renovated with funds and materials donated by parishioners. This church not only serves as a religious center but also bears witness to the historical and cultural development of the local community.
