The Palanga Evangelical Lutheran Church is an important place for the Lutheran community. The parish was founded in the early 20th century and initially operated in the house of pharmacist Oskar Berting, where a special worship room was set up. The community consisted of Lithuanians, Latvians, and Germans, so the sermons were delivered in three languages.

The first parish house, consecrated in 1928, was destroyed by fire in 1938, and during the Soviet era, the church's activities were banned. The parish was restored in 1993, and in 2005, the cornerstone for the construction of a new church on Saulėtekio Street was consecrated. This church was designed by architects Irena and Gintas Likšai.

The Palanga Evangelical Lutheran Church is an important place for the Lutheran community with an interesting history. The parish in Palanga was established in the early 20th century as a branch of the Kretinga parish. Since 1910, believers gathered for worship in the house of pharmacist Oskar Berting, where a special room for services was set up on the second floor. The community consisted of people of various nationalities—Lithuanians, Latvians, and Germans—so the sermons were delivered in three languages. The first parish house was located on Jūratės Street and consecrated in 1928, but it
was destroyed by fire in 1938. During the Soviet era, the church's activities were banned. The parish was restored in 1993, and in 2000, the city municipality allocated land on Saulėtekio Street for the construction of a new church. The project was designed by architects Irena and Gintas Likšai. In 2005, Bishop Mindaugas Sabutis consecrated the cornerstone of the church. The current priest is Darius Petkūnas. Today, the church is not only a place for spiritual practices but also a community meeting center, reflecting the history and traditions of the Palanga Evangelical Lutheran community.
