Ivangėnai Hillforts

The Ivangėnai Hillforts are a historic monument in the Tauragė region, located near the Suvirkštė River. The complex consists of two hillforts, a settlement at the foot of the hill, and a burial site. The main hillfort, known as Pilaitė, rises on the left bank of the Suvirkštė River, while the second one is located 100 meters southeast, on a river promontory. The nearby settlement at the foot of the hill reveals traces of ancient human life. This is an important cultural and archaeological site, uncovering the historical treasures of Tauragė.
