Pagramančiai Hill Fort is a proud landmark of the Pagramančiai Regional Park and a historical and archaeological monument, renovated for visitors in 2014. This impressive hill fort is located in the town of Pagramančiai, surrounded by the fast-flowing Akmena River. The slopes of the hill rise over 20 meters high, and its historical past dates back to the 1st millennium – the beginning of the 2nd millennium, although more detailed archaeological research has yet to be conducted. Currently, Pagramančiai Hill Fort is an integral part of an educational trail designed for visitors. From the top, there are breathtaking views of the town of Pagramančiai,

the Akmena River, the Gramančia Stream, the Pagramančiai cliff, and the panoramic view of the regional park's meadows and forests. The area is equipped with convenient paths, an observation platform, benches, and even a fire pit. It is an excellent place to enjoy the beauty of nature, especially the sunrises, which appear magical from the hill fort. This archaeological site is also known for its traditional Joninės (Midsummer) celebration, which annually attracts visitors from all corners of Lithuania. Visiting Pagramančiai Hill Fort is worthwhile throughout the year, both for its historical atmosphere and the stunning views.
