In 2011, a Historical Fresco was created in the center of Joniškis, on the wall next to the Red Synagogue, commemorating significant anniversaries and the history of the city. The fresco depicts the Žiemgala Prince Nameisis, Vilnius Bishop Jonas, and Sigismund III Vasa, symbolizing the city's development from the beginning of the Žiemgala era to the granting of self-government rights. The fresco was created by artist Andrius Naraškevičius, and its creation was initiated by the Joniškis Cultural Center. It stands as a remarkable heritage of the city's culture and history.
