The Jakiškiai St. Ignatius of Loyola Chapel, located in the Joniškis region, reflects traditional wooden sacred architecture that has preserved archaic features. The chapel is characterized by a high, thatched roof and an impressive tower adorned with a cross. Its windows and double-leaf doors with arched decorations highlight the skillful craftsmanship. Near the chapel stands a stone - a "water stone" - symbolizing the fusion of Christian and pagan cultures. The chapel was founded in the 17th century when Jesuit missions were active in the Joniškis region, and its name was given in honor of the founder of the Jesuit Order. It is an important monument of sacred architecture.
