The Joniškis Synagogue Complex, consisting of the summer "White" and winter "Red" synagogues, is an important cultural heritage site in Lithuania. The restored synagogues have become centers of the city’s culture and history.
In the Red Synagogue, a unique interior has been restored, featuring ornate ceilings, decorated walls, and the aron kodesh, which once housed the Torah scrolls. The exhibition "The History and Culture of the Jewish Community of the Joniškis Region" reveals the life of the Jewish community before World War II.
The White Synagogue presents a modern interpretation of the history of Joniškis and its most significant events. Both sites are accessible to visitors with mobility impairments.
