This church is among the most remarkable and exquisite examples of ecclesiastical architecture not only in the Jonava district but across Lithuania. It was constructed in 1622 at the behest of Andriejus Skorulskis, the owner of Skaruliai Manor. According to legend, the design was inspired by a church in Jerusalem that Skorulskis encountered during a pilgrimage to the Holy Land in the late 16th century, alongside Mikalojus Kristupas Radvila Našlaitėlis, in search of Christ's tomb. The church stands out for its unique
combination of Gothic and Renaissance styles, captivating visitors with its architectural solutions. The interior features authentic 17th-century wooden sculptures, while the grand altar and bell, crafted in 1670 by the era’s renowned bell-maker Jonas Delamarsas, add historical and cultural value. Skaruliai St. Anne’s Church is undoubtedly one of Lithuania’s most significant religious and architectural treasures, attracting visitors from across the country and beyond with its rich history and architectural beauty.
