This cultural and historical landmark, situated near the road to the Lithuanian-Russian border, has a rich history dating back to 1774, when the first wooden church was built. However, the wooden church burned down in 1834. In 1850, the current Gothic-style brick church was constructed, with walls made of fieldstones and red bricks. The church has a rectangular, three-nave layout, and repairs were carried out after World War II. The church preserves valuable artworks, including mid-19th-century paintings St. Joseph and The Crucified Christ by unknown artists.

The main altar features a unique cross with a Crucifix created around 1850, focusing on reflection rather than suffering. Additionally, the church holds a 19th-century reliquary of St. Casimir made from several liturgical items and ancient chasubles crafted from silk, cotton, and metallic threads. The churchyard is home to two distinctive 19th-century iron crosses crafted by blacksmiths, which grace the churchyard gates. These iron crosses are appreciated for their elegance and composition, as well as their significant contribution to local history.
