Just a few minutes' walk from the center of Kretinga, you will find the Congregation of the Missionaries of God's Love, also known as the Teresian Sisters' House. The building, with its bright blue roof, stands out from the surroundings and has become an integral part of the city. The sisters moved into this former medical facility in 1991, and since then, they have actively assisted the poor, homeless individuals, and families in need.
The Teresian Sisters revived not only the building but also its garden. Their care has saved many lives, and the house has become a refuge for those seeking to transform their lives. The community is open to volunteers, and the sisters are easy to recognize by their white saris with blue borders, as worn by the congregation's founder, Mother Teresa.
