In Budriai Village, on Kartenalė Street, stands a monumental cross erected in 1991 by the family of Stanislava Kubiliūtė-Slušnienė to commemorate the Kubilius and Slušnys homestead. This site was home to Adolfas Kubilius (1918–1946), founder and leader of the Žemaičiai Legion of the Lithuanian Freedom Army.
Adolfas Kubilius was executed in Vilnius, and his remains rest in the Tuskulėnai Manor grounds. The cross symbolizes not only the family’s history but also the struggles for freedom, attracting visitors interested in the history of Lithuanian partisans and national heritage.
