The Rokiškis Manor is one of the most prominent examples of Classical architecture in Lithuania. Constructed in 1801, its design is attributed to an unknown architect. The 1905 renovation by architects K. Jankovskis and P. Lilpop added Baroque elements to the structure. The manor now operates as the Rokiškis Regional Museum, known for its vast collection of over 100,000 exhibits. Visitors can explore manor culture, regional history, and unique collections of Lionginas Šepka’s wood carvings and nativity scenes. The nativity collection, with approximately 100 exhibits, is the only one of its kind in Lithuania. The museum regularly organizes art exhibitions, classical music concerts, literary evenings, and educational

programs for both children and adults. In 2010, it received the Ministry of Culture Award for its educational activities. Beyond being a cultural center, the manor estate includes a 28-hectare park with ponds and 14 authentic buildings. In 2011, it won the EDEN (European Destinations of Excellence) award as Lithuania’s most attractive tourism destination for its unique manor exhibitions, heritage preservation, and educational programs. The EDEN project, supported by the European Commission, highlights the value and sustainability of tourism destinations. The Rokiškis Manor Estate stood out for its harmonious blend of cultural and natural heritage, continuing to attract visitors from Lithuania and abroad.
