Ožakmenis, or the "Goat Stone," is an impressive natural monument hidden deep in the Ignotiškis Forest. This massive boulder, measuring 5.1 x 3 x 3.3 meters, is recognized as a geological heritage site. Declared a natural monument in 1964 and added to the list of nationally significant monuments in 1985, it is often referred to as the "Puntukas of Rokiškis" due to its size and importance.
The stone features grooves believed to have been made by deer, elk, and roe deer sharpening their antlers. Beyond its striking size, the stone is shrouded in legends. Locals tell tales of a white goat that can be spotted near Ožakmenis at night, a story that intrigues mystery seekers and curious visitors alike. Ožakmenis is an excellent destination for nature enthusiasts and travelers looking for unique attractions in the Rokiškis district.
