Lionginas Šepka, one of Lithuania's most renowned primitivists and last folk carvers, masterfully blended the traditions of rural woodcarvers with influences from provincial church art and manor aesthetics. His works are characterized by heartfelt naivety and the raw power of natural talent, captivating modern audiences.

Throughout his life, L. Šepka created more than 1,500 works, ranging from small bas-reliefs to monumental spatial compositions. One of his most remarkable creations, The Birds' Feast, features 206 intricately carved birds. This masterpiece unites humans, birds, animals, trees, and even celestial elements like the Sun and Moon into a single, extraordinary celebration. In this enchanting composition, animals and humans appear to converse and merge with one another, forming a magical, harmonious world.
