Mosėdis, also referred to as the "Stone Capital," is among the most picturesque and well-maintained towns in Samogitia and is particularly popular with tourists. The town's highlight is the Republican Vaclovas Intas Stone Museum, which occupies a scenic 14.5-hectare area in the Bartuva River valley. This unique museum's exhibitions are housed in a restored water mill—a centuries-old cultural heritage site. The museum presents a variety of rock classifications, fossilized animals, minerals, gemstones, and unique collections of sand and gravel. The museum's open-air park invites visitors to inspect various stones, set against a backdrop of over 3,800 rare trees and shrubs. The grounds feature observation decks, an esoteric zone with a sun labyrinth, a sculpture park, children's playgrounds, and a metal bridge. Beyond the museum, Mosėdis attracts tourists to its cultural heritage sites—the Church of St. Michael the Archangel and the residence of writer Juozas Tumas-Vaižgantas.
