Kivylių Manor is a historical monument located in the Aleksandrija eldership, Skuodas district, just 2.5 km from Aleksandrija. The manor is closely connected with the family history of Simonas Daukantas, as his sister Anastazija settled here after her marriage in 1829. In the early 20th century, under the ownership of doctor Ferdinandas Kaunackis, the manor became one of the most important centers of economic and cultural activity in the region, even housing a private hospital. Although many buildings did not survive, the residential house was renovated and adapted for cultural activities—now it hosts National Day celebrations and literary readings.

Kivylių Manor, located in the Aleksandrija eldership of Skuodas district, is one of the most interesting historical sites in the region. Situated just 2.5 km from Aleksandrija, the manor is linked with Lithuanian history and culture—here lived Simonas Daukantas's sister Anastazija, who moved to Kivylių after her marriage in 1829. At the beginning of the 20th century, the manor was purchased by doctor Ferdinandas Kaunackis, who transformed Kivylių into a hub of cultural and economic activity. Kivylių Manor housed the first private hospital in what is now Skuodas district, and from 1928 to 1932, it was visited by notable figures of the time, including President Antanas Smetona and future President

of Latvia Kārlis Ulmanis. The manor's farm raised cattle and rare birds, and the estate included 17 buildings, among them the manor house, a dairy, and a brick hospital. After Dr. Kaunackis's death in 1935, the manor lost its significance and gradually many of its buildings were lost. After World War II, during the collective farm era, only the residential house remained. In 2010, private individuals purchased and renovated the building and opened its doors to cultural activities. Since 2013, the manor traditionally celebrates National Days, hosts Skuodas writers' readings, and educational programs that revive the manor’s cultural heritage and attract visitors from all over Lithuania.
