The S. Daukantas Shed, located in Kalviai village, Lenkimai eldership, Skuodas district, is the birthplace of the historian and writer Simonas Daukantas, who was born here in 1793 and was a collector of folklore. Today, the shed operates as a memorial museum, introducing visitors to S. Daukantas's life and work. The main exhibition space recreates an authentic peasant lifestyle, while another room is dedicated to the work of Jurgis Pabrėža, the first Lithuanian botanist. In the yard, a monumental stone with an inscription reminds visitors of S. Daukantas's contributions to Lithuanian history, literature, and culture.
