Paberžė, a parish located at the confluence of the Liaudė and Nykis streams, is 32 km from Kėdainiai. Here stands the historic Paberžė Manor, believed to have been built in 1793 by the German-origin Baron Stanislovas Šilingas. The baron, who actively participated in the 1863 uprising, was exiled to Siberia, and his manor was taken over by the Tsar's official, I. Tichejev. The manor's palace, maintaining its original architectural appearance, has been repaired multiple times. In 1993, a museum dedicated to the 1863 uprising was opened here, focusing on the activities and history of the uprising's leader, Priest Antanas Mackevičius. The museum displays a plethora of personal items, documents, and artworks related to the uprising.
