Near Kėdainiai, on the banks of the Nevėžis River, lies the historic Sirutiškis Manor, sometimes referred to as the old Panevėžis Manor. Acquired by Simonas Sirutis in the early 18th century, the estate was later renamed Sirutiškis. The property, once owned by the ancestors of Nobel Prize laureate Czesław Miłosz, passed to the Kamarovski family at the end of the 19th century, who built a palace in a modern style. Surrounded by an impressive mixed-type park, these palaces have survived many historical vicissitudes, retaining their unique architectural character with distinctive ornaments and curved lines. Today, restoration projects for the palaces and park management efforts promise to restore the former glory of this site.
