This hillfort, located in the Kėdainiai district, stands out for its distinct contours and two embankments. It comprises two hills: one that held a castle and the other serving as a bailey. The hillfort is situated near the Lioliai Stream, now a pond. Archaeologist A. Juknevičius notes that in August 1372, the Livonian Order army conducted a raiding expedition to this area, then known as Stagiai (German: Stenghe). Surrounding these hillforts, now called Sangailai, are remnants of former settlements and a cemetery disturbed during the Soviet era. The first mention of Šėta and the origins of this town remain topics of ongoing discussion.
