On the hilltop of the Vepriai hillfort once stood a noble estate, first mentioned in 1542. Legends say the manor would sink into the ground at night, eventually becoming abandoned and collapsing. The site is known as the Vepriai manor ground.
In 2019, it was adorned with sculptures by Viktoras Žentelis: “Knights Galloping Through the Ages” and “To Those Who Never Returned from Exile.”
This is one of the most important historical and cultural sites in the Ukmergė district.
