The Mosėdis Church, built in 1783, is one of the most significant late Baroque architectural heritage sites in Samogitia. This twin-towered church, surrounded by a stone fence with three-arched gates, stands out for its unique history. The early parish founders worshiped in a wooden church built in 1544 at the present site of Mosėdis, but in the 19th century, it was decided to construct a brick building. Although it belonged to the Varnių bishops' domain for a long time, the Mosėdis community actively contributed to its construction. Today, the churchyard features impressive chapels called "Mounts of Calvary."
