A monument honoring partisans stands at the site where, on February 11, 1953, a battle with the MGB units from Kėdainiai and Ramygala districts took place, resulting in the deaths of Col. Juozas Šibaila-Merainis (b. 1905), deputy chairman of the LLKS council presidium, and his deputy Povilas Žilys-Klevas (b. 1916 or 1918). J. Šibaila, one of the signatories of the February 16, 1949 LLKS declaration, was recognized by the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania as an author of state legislative acts. The monument at this location was unveiled on July 14, 2004, on the edge of the former partisan bunker. In 2012, the first archaeological investigations in Lithuania related to partisan hideouts were conducted here, with plans to reconstruct the structure.
The site, located in Lančiūnava Forest District, Dovydai Forest, quarter 486, plot 14, is difficult to access but holds significant importance in the history of partisan resistance.
