Paberžė has long been known as an important pilgrimage site, largely due to the work of the renowned Capuchin friar Algirdas Mykolas Dobrovolskis, better known as Father Stanislovas. His sermons and wisdom attracted people from all over Lithuania who sought spiritual peace and inspiration. Today, the Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the barn, and the rectory preserve many of Father Stanislovas's collected liturgical and household items, which he referred to as "treasures." The church, built in 1787 by local craftsmen, houses numerous sacred artifacts, including crosses by Vincas Svirskis and a hand-carved wooden altar.
