The museum is dedicated to honoring the priest's contributions to the local community and reviving the nearly extinct Lithuanian craft of rimorystė, or harness making. The museum showcases unique artifacts collected and restored by Father Kazimieras Skučas. Established in 2006 in a barn belonging to Veiveriai Church, the museum building eventually fell into disrepair. Milda Skučaitė-Napjus,
a relative of Father Skučas living in America but maintaining ties with Lithuania, funded the construction of a new museum. On July 26, 2020, the new Rimorystės Museum was inaugurated, marking an important cultural event for both Veiveriai and Lithuania. The museum displays many valuable artifacts, including horse harnesses, bells, saddles, carts, carriages, church sledges, and tools used by harness makers. Some of the exhibits were restored by Father Kazimieras Skučas himself, including sewn harnesses, traces, and other items.
