The hillfort, situated on a hill on the left bank of the Morkūnupis Valley, is an important archaeological site. The hillfort's plateau is oval in shape, extending approximately 22x13 meters in an east-west direction. The slopes are of moderate steepness, ranging from 3 to 9 meters in height.
The hillfort has been affected by plowing and various pits, with the eastern slope eroded due to quarrying. Currently, the hillfort is covered with mixed forest.
According to historical research, the hillfort dates to the first half of the 1st millennium AD. It was designated as a state-protected monument by an order of the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania on April 29, 2005, document No. ĮV-190. The protected area of the monument covers 5,800 square meters.
