Pašlavančio Hillfort

Despite damage sustained during excavations in the mid-19th century, Pašlavančio Hillfort remains historically significant. Excavations conducted by Father Kazakevičius of the Plutiškiai parish uncovered several intriguing finds, including two knives and a human shinbone. Today, the hillfort is overgrown, but it remains an important part of historical heritage.
Around the hillfort, there is a settlement area of about 3 hectares, where archaeologists have discovered various artifacts, including clay spindles, fragments of incised, rough, and smooth pottery, as well as slag remains. These findings help date the hillfort to the early first millennium, making it a valuable monument of early Lithuanian history.
