In the valley of the left bank of the Nemunas River, on the right bank of the Šventupė stream, stands the Pašventupis Hillfort, whose history dates back to the 1st–2nd millennia. This hillfort is named after the nearby Šventupė stream, but the local residents also refer to it as the Vangai Hillfort, after the nearby village of Vangai.
The hillfort rises about 12 meters high, with an additional 6-meter-tall rampart on its upper platform. At the base of the hillfort, there was a settlement where archaeologists discovered remains of rough and wheel-thrown pottery. To the northwest of the rampart, there is a semicircular ditch that is 27 meters wide and 2 meters deep. The slopes of the hillfort reach 10–12 meters in height, and on the eastern side, there is a 5-hectare settlement where various pottery artifacts have also been found.
