Šilavotas Davatkynas is a unique museum located in the Prienai district, near the town of Šilavotas. In the 20th century, this site was home to an informal convent of devout women, preserving authentic religious items and amassing a valuable collection of ethnographic and historical artifacts. Davatkynas is renowned for its collection of oleographs and regularly hosts various cultural events, such as artist workshops, exhibitions, and the Poetry Spring Festival. In 2006, a sculpture path was created alongside the trail leading to the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Šilavotas. The devout women who once lived in Davatkynas would walk this path daily to attend church. The current caretakers of Davatkynas decided to commemorate these pious women with
sculptures depicting holy women in small chapels. Over a hundred years, fourteen women lived in Davatkynas, most of whom had similar names like Ona, Marija, and Magdalena. Since St. Catherine's feast is celebrated in the Šilavotas church, her image was also immortalized in one of the chapels. Additionally, St. Veronica was chosen. Along the path, a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary stands, with the holy women—Ona, Magdalena, Veronica, and Catherine—in chapels, centered around the figure of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The chapel of the Sacred Heart of Jesus symbolizes the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Šilavotas and honors Antanas Radušis, the founder of the Šilavotas parish, who actively contributed to the construction of the church.
