Founded in 1995, following the restoration of Lithuanian independence, the Prienai Regional Museum is dedicated to preserving and promoting the culture and history of the Prienai region. Located in the home of engineer and teacher Cezaras Pšemeneckis, the museum showcases the local cultural history, ethnography, folk art, and the lives and works of notable figures from the area. Visitors to the museum can explore exhibits on ethnography, folk art, the struggles for freedom in Prienai, and the history of exile across its four main exhibitions.

Founded in 1995, following the restoration of Lithuanian independence, the Prienai Regional Museum is dedicated to preserving and promoting the culture and history of the Prienai region. Located in the home of engineer and teacher Cezaras Pšemeneckis, the museum showcases the local cultural history, ethnography, folk art, and the lives and works of notable figures from the area. Visitors to the museum can explore exhibits on ethnography, folk art, the struggles for freedom in Prienai, and the history of exile across its four main exhibitions. In addition to preserving and collecting valuable artifacts, the museum actively engages
in cultural, educational, and outreach activities, striving to be an integral part of the local community. The Prienai Regional Museum also has four branches: the Skriaudžiai Household Museum with a calendar exhibit, the native homestead-museum of writer Vincas Mykolaitis-Putinas, the Šilavotas "Davatkynas," and the Veiveriai Local History Museum, which features an exhibit dedicated to partisan Juozas Lukša-Daumantas. The museum employs 17 staff members who are ready to warmly welcome visitors. It is a member of the Lithuanian Museum Association and participates in the activities of the Association of Municipal Museum Directors.
