Žiburio Hill is a significant historical site in Prienai, marking the beginning of the current Žiburio Gymnasium's journey. It was here in 1920 that a two-story wooden building was constructed to house the first gymnasium. Unfortunately, the building was destroyed by fire in 1956, but a new brick school was built in 1959. In 1995, the educational institution was restored to its gymnasium status. This site has become a symbolic space where students from Prienai city schools gather on September 1st. Žiburio Hill is marked by a monument created by folk artist Kazimieras Babravičius.
