The water mill on the Prienai Manor estate occupies an important place in the history of Prienai. In the second half of the 17th century, a beautiful castle—now known as Butler's Castle—stood here for a brief period. The castle was surrounded by a meticulously designed geometric park, notable for its pavilions, greenhouses, canals, and ponds. The park's avenues were lined with rare trees imported from various regions, adding a unique charm to the area.
