The Šukioniai Chapel, built in 1746, is a historic wooden chapel belonging to the Vabalninkas Parish of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This chapel is included in the tourist route "Wooden Churches and Chapels of the Biržai Region." At the end of September each year, the Šukioniai community gathers to celebrate the traditional Feast of St. Matthew the Evangelist, one of the most significant local religious festivals.
