Mykolas Komaras, a descendant of the noble Komarai family from the Dniester region, founded Palėvenės Manor in 1654. The manor became a key center in the Lower Palėvenė region, with its descendants residing there until World War II. The manor's main house, dairy, brewery, warehouse, stables, and other farm structures, built from local dolomite, still stand today.

Palėvenės Manor is famous for its architecture and culture. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, an orangery with towers and a winter garden were added. The manor had 26 rooms, a collection of artworks, and a library of around 5,000 volumes.

Surrounded by a 2-hectare English-style park, visitors can explore the history of Palėvenės Manor. Bogdan Komaras' granddaughter, Nijolė Milaknienė, shares the family's legacy. Palėvenės Manor is a state-protected cultural heritage site offering valuable insight into Lithuania's history.
