The manor, mentioned since the 15th century, belonged to the noble families of Counts Čapskis, and the Šemetos, and Gorskis. The owners of the manor built the neo-Gothic style buildings that have survived to this day, as well as established a park and dug ponds. The manor was renowned for its luxuriously decorated interiors and extensive collections of art.
