Palendriai Monastery of St. Benedict is located in Palendriai village, Kelmė district. After a nationwide search, the site's natural beauty—prominent hills, the Samogitian highlands, vast skies, and Vainagiai forests—along with Fr. K. Ambrozaitis's old Oratory church, led to its selection. The Benedictines settled in the newly built monastery in the fall of 2001.
The monastery church welcomes all for prayer with the monks and accepts requests for Holy Mass intentions. At the reception, visitors can purchase postcards, missalettes, prayer booklets, recordings of Gregorian chants, and rosaries. Guests may also confess or discuss spiritual matters with an experienced monk, who provides guidance in living a faithful Christian life.
