A large portrait of the Lithuanian classic writer, painted by artist Andrius Seselskas, gazes at the residents of Kelmė and visitors, encouraging them to stop, browse the library's bookshelves, and discover a book they'd like to read (perhaps even texts by Žemaitė!). The artist has modernized the painting, depicting drones delivering Žemaitė's books. You can see Žemaitė's portrait-mural on the exterior wall of the library.
