The present Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary has been rebuilt and restored multiple times after being ravaged by various calamities, including plundering by the Russian army and a devastating fire in 1798. The current brick structure, erected in 1865, features three towers that dominate the landscape: two side towers with pyramid roofs and a larger central tower, whose bells call the faithful to worship. The architecture is eclectic, combining elements of Neo-Renaissance and Neo-Gothic styles, giving the church a unique aesthetic appeal.
