The chapel is located in the beautiful Dubysa Valley, near the Kelmė-Tytuvėnai road, two kilometers from the Maironiai Church. Under the chapel lies a large stone with imprints that, according to the elderly, resemble a child's foot, a staff, and a knee. Approximately 163 years ago, a local resident named Žilinskas found this stone and built a small 1.5-meter-high chapel with a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary and a cross next to it. It is said that Žilinskas was inspired to build the chapel after a vision of the Blessed Virgin Mary, who instructed him to erect the chapel at that spot.

It is said that Žilinskas was inspired to build the chapel after a vision of the Blessed Virgin Mary, who instructed him to erect the chapel
at that spot. Inside the chapel, there is an altar with a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Near the altar, the famous stone with the imprints can be seen embedded in the wall. The chapel has been robbed several times, with thieves taking all the paintings, Stations of the Cross, and the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The current statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the chapel, the fifth one, was donated by a monk named Mickevičius. Fifty meters from the chapel, there is a spring whose water collects in a well, with the excess water flowing into the Dubysa River.
