Roofed Pillar Dedicated to Forester Z. Truskauskas

To commemorate the memory of the distinguished forester Zdislavas Truskauskas, a roofed pillar (created by folk artist Pranas Kaziūnas) was unveiled in 2012 on the edge of Andrikavas Forest, thanks to the initiative of the Forestry Directors' Board and the Ignalina Forest Enterprise. Additionally, a 0.7-hectare grove of oaks and lindens was planted, along with a pine sapling brought from the Dubrava nursery, grown from seeds blessed by Pope Benedict XVI during his visit to Warsaw in May 2006.
