The granting of the Masioniai manor and the village of Karviai (with 4 valaks of land) led to the establishment of a new parish in 1783, which was previously a filial of the Maišiagala parish. After the previous church was destroyed by fire in 1861, the local community built a new brick church between 1862 and 1865. This church stands out with its combination of historicist style and neo-Gothic elements, characterized by a rectangular plan architecture and a twin-tower structure. The cemetery located within the churchyard is surrounded by a stone masonry fence, providing a unique atmosphere and historical value.
